Harbor regulations - The harbor is administered
by the Marine Department, Ventura County Property Administration
Agency, and is under the control of a harbormaster, who has an
office on the E side of the harbor about 400 yards N of the first
bend in the channel. The harbor office maintains guest
berths for 70 craft. Transients should report to the
harbormaster for berth assignments. The harbormaster guards
VHF-FM channel 16 24 hours a day. Harbor patrol boats
operate from the office.
The Channel Islands Harbor
Patrol is on duty 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
The Channel Islands Harbor Patrol is responsible for all of the
inland waterways of the Channel Islands Harbor and open state
waters; one mile north and south, and one mile seaward of the
detached breakwater. The Channel Islands Harbor Patrol will
respond out of our area for life-threatening emergencies.
The office is located on the starboard side of the main channel as
you enter the Harbor, just past the Coast Guard Station. If you
are in the area, they would be happy to provide you with
information regarding the Harbor or its operation.
