I am
keen to know if the moon names in the Northern hemisphere are the same
for southern hemisphere. For example I am in Australia and I am wondering if
in June we would have the "rose moon" full moon as well. Hoping you can help me.

I am doing a presentation in my class later this week and I need as much info as possible
on the old term "eyes of the ship", the only thing I have found is on the old ships they would
build a figure, i.e. a mermaid, and that was considered the eyes of the ship. I can't find
anything else so anything you can do will help......Let

I have always played around the
Fox River south of Leichts docks and
north of the Huron cement Docks. Recently I took my grandson to the river
east of the Reese coal docks where the water was very low.
We could see old dock structures there and I am curious to know how old they are, who owned them,
and to see any pictures would be neat! We had found a old bell shaped light
fixture with neat designs and a old porcelain socket in
it. We would like to know if it was light for the dock, how old, and whatever we can find
out. Maybe they are from a old ship too? These old Docks are south of the Tillman bridge and north of the
train bridge right by the train bridge on the east side of the river...Old

I'm trying to confirm
terminology. The bulwarks is a parapet, or short wall, around the weather
deck of a ship, usually to keep water off the deck, to the extent that
is possible. However, on a weatherdeck on the superstructure of say, a Navy
frigate, there might be a series of stanchions holding a chain that
drapes from stanchion to stanchion in lieu of a bulwarks. Is this chain a railing?
What is the term for this safety chain and stanchion apparatus?
Bulwarks doesn't seem to fit. Hope you can help. Chris Hulse
