Sailcloths come in
endless styles and weights. The cost versus durability
characteristics need to be explained and understood. Look
ahead a couple of years and ask how much maintenance will be
needed. If you plan to Race, remember that sails don't improve
with age no matter how little use they get and designs and
cloths do get better every year. The Cruiser and Day
Sailor need s to think in terms of durability. Visual
appeal is a factor, too. Is "pride of ownership"
important to you? If
so, spend a bit more on the finishing details such as Cruise
Plus and Tradewinds. The extra cost is small but the
visual effect is amazing.
Sail covers can be
supplied with your new sail. Boat Covers and other Canvas
can be arranged for through local suppliers.
Sailing is supposed
